So... I read that when feeding little one's you should always give them a spoon and encourage them to help out; hold their hand and show them how to scoop the food and take it to their mouths. Help them practice those finer motor skills. HAHAHA. Who writes these things?? The only thing this encourages is a MESS! But I must admit, she had a lot of fun and it made for lots of laughs and pictures.
Here Kate is trying to get the wrong end of the spoon into her mouth. 
Since the spoon didn't work... she decided licking the bowl was much more effective.
And when that didn't produce much... why not just a handful....
