So Nate and I decided to venture off for a short afternoon hike... It was a new and interesting hike that said, "good for children". We started the drive out and as we got closer to the hike, we saw a trail map that said, 'road washed out, start here'. Well, the start here sign ended up costing us an additional 3 miles... Needless to say, our short hike ended up being quite an adventure. Kate learned to nap slunched up in her carrying pack and Nate got quite a workout (thank you hon for not making me carry her :) )! It was tons of fun though and Kate was a trooper the whole way - never complaining, even when she reached the point of exhaustion!
